A well executed defensive plan is the most effective when it is enacted BEFORE the threat arrives. The bigger the threat, the more warning you need.
So how do you pick up that danger is approaching when your resources are limited? That is where the Neighborhood Guardian comes in. Or, for those that like to keep things simple, the Guard.
What is the Neighborhood Guardian?
The Neighborhood Guardian is the watchdog of the community and the very foundation of Civil Defense. They are a warning bell for when danger is near. But more than that, they are the first line of defense for your community.
What a Neighborhood Guardian Does
A Neighborhood Guardian not only can warn others of the threat that lies ahead, but they can also ward off most threats simply with their presence.
In other cases, they can deliver life-saving first aid, stop violence in action with violence of action, and they can spearhead a QRF (Quick Reaction Force) to combat unconstitutional oppression in your neighborhood. (Stopping violence in action with violence of action is the military's way of saying, "You're going to kick the crap out of the bad guy.")

Where the Neighborhood Guardian Works
The Neighborhood Guardian is the guy(s) that is either in a set observation location as a stationary guard or roaming around your community looking for potential threats.
Here is an Example
"The Neighborhood Guardian can respond much quicker than the local police can."
Think of it like this: you're walking your community area and looking for something that is just not right. You see a car slow rolling your neighborhood with dark, tinted windows. You get the feeling that something just off with this vehicle.
It could be guys casing a house looking the right time to strike. Or a drug dealer looking to do business.
You decide to openly take pictures of the vehicle and tag. This can deter most criminals. And even if it didn't deter them, you now have a lead for the local police to follow up on if something does happen.
The QRF
Another role that the Guardian plays is as a small QRF. So what is a QRF? A Quick Reaction Force is usually a small group of guys that are on standby to react to any and all situations on or around their area. This is usually implemented in a hostile environment while staying on a FOB (forward operating base).
This same idea can work in your community, even in peace time. Lets look at how the Guardian can be a quick reaction force.
Responding Quickly
Lets say you have a domestic disturbance. Your Neighborhood Guardian hears the fighting as they are out walking the area. They can either call the police or intervene depending upon the severity and the situation.
Let us take this a step further. Say the disturbance has grown out of control and now is turning deadly. The Neighborhood Guardian can respond much quicker than the local police can. They can immediately enter the home, and shoot the aggressor. Stopping violence in action with violence of action. Furthermore, the Neighborhood Guardian can deliver life-saving trauma care to the victim long before EMS can get near the home.
"Not only have you saved your neighbor's life. But, you save the lives of the police too."
*Warning* This is a Touchy Subject
Now lets get to something that really effects us all as Americans. Our second amendment is under direct assault.
As of today there have been at least 6 people killed as police have tried to enforce an unconstitutional law, “the red flag law."
The Neighborhood Guardian could stop that from happening in your community. As your Guardian is walking their route, they see police cars rolling up into the community. Knowing that they live in a “Red Flag” state, the Neighborhood Guardian keys the radio and activates the community's QRF.
The Quick Reaction Force assembles at the designated location and moves into position. By positioning the members of the QRF in a strategic manner, you can gain a tactical advantage over the potential threat (in this case the police.)
Using a show of force (Basically you're showing them they are out gunned and in a bad position.) you manage to push the police safely back away from your neighbor's house.

Preventing Tragedies
Not only have you saved your neighbor's life. But, you save the lives of the police too. Not just then, but in the future as well.
The police will now know if they wish to enforce an unconstitutional law, that they will fight the whole community. This, with follow up action, can prevent another attempt of gun confiscation from taking place. (Don't stop there, back up the victim in court too. The judge needs to know that the community is against gun confiscation without due process.)
Conclusion
As you can see, having a Neighborhood Guardian not only can keep criminals at bay, but it can save lives too.
I was once told that my personal safety was my responsibility. Police cant always be there to protect us at all times. And unfortunately, in some cases, they are the aggressors.
But if we work as a team, we can protect each other at all times. Yes, we must use peaceful actions whenever possible before resorting to violence. But if we don't come together and stop these gun confiscations, our children will learn of war from first hand experience.
If we stand up as one, as a team, as Americans, we can take our country and stop the bloodshed.
