As promised in the video, I've included a free download where you can print out your own range cards. furthermore, I've added some important information in the download that I hope will help.
What Are Range Cards?
Range Cards are a drawing of your sector of fire (where you will be shooting/defending). They give you a quick reference guide on how far away an enemy target is and approximately what direction.
Sound boring? I promise you that if used correctly, these range cards will help save your life. This is the one thing that recon, snipers and even infantry use all of the time.
Where Should You Stage Range Cards?
First, you're not likely to have the information on your range cards memorized. Secondly, when you are under attack and actively defending your home from an invader, you're not going to have the time to sort through a drawer of papers for find the right one for the where you are shooting from.
As a result, you want to stage your range cards in a position that you can reach them quickly. To clarify, you'll want to create range cards for every possible fighting position. This includes doors, windows, every building/barn, fighting position etc.
