Personality
Moose took his test on 9/17/2022 and ultimately scored a C.
Even though he was the largest of the litter, he has a super sweet, yet playful personality. This gentle giant loves to be held.
A canine that is a C is the best personality for a family who is looking to keep their children safe. A dog that scores a C is likely to be very loving, patient and protective when needed.
Type of service work recommended for this personality score:
- Personal Protection
- Search & Rescue
- Emotional Therapy
While they will need to be socialized and trained consistently, they will not typically require a whole lot of effort. Some skill will be needed in order to establish an Alpha role as its owner. However, with enough practice and study, even novice dog owners can learn how to handle this type of protection dog.
A dog with a type C drive will not exactly be trusting of visitors, but are very unlikely to bite unless provoked or told to (in conjunction with their training.) They may even warm up to a few people who come over if they judge them to be safe. Introducing the dog to the visitor in a friendly and calm manner can help smooth over any ice.
Updates From His Owner
October 28th, 2022: "Moose had his posts come out today and his ears look good...Also, he has sit, lay down, come, kennel, and leave it, in command. Potty training is almost 100%. He’s really smart and gets along well with all of our animals. He’s sleeping through the night with no crying or howling. Really an exceptional pup."
We had several lifelong family pets. None of them were as well cared for as Moose when we picked him up. He joined our family and took to work as a protection dog quickly. Learning commands came very easily for him. On walks we are stopped often and he is constantly complimented on his appearance and personality. Several Doberman owners have fawned over him as being an exceptional animal. Thanks Amy and Tackleberry!!!

Jan 29, 2023: "We did end up going with a trainer for 4 weeks. He has come back awesome… (we needed a little help during the holiday schedule )…both trainers that worked him, offered to buy him if we ever decide we don’t want him (which we will not! Lol)… they also asked where we got him because they were so impressed with his genetics.
So we gave them your info.
They mainly breed/train belgian malinois"
